Arxan Technologies Named 2008 SIIA CODiE Award Finalist

Arxan Technologies, a leading provider of application hardening solutions designed to protect software intellectual property (IP) from tampering and theft, today announced that its software protection solution, GuardIT®, has been selected as a finalist for the 2008 SIIA CODiE Awards in the Best Digital Rights Management category.

CODiE Award finalists were chosen among 1,000 nominations submitted by more than 600 companies. Through journalist and peer review, the Codie Awards recognized 340 finalists in 68 categories, representing an impressive array of technology and business excellence and success.
"Competition is tough this year and that makes selection as a Codie Finalist a real achievement," said Ken Wash, SIIA president. "All the companies on this year's list should feel justifiably proud of their recognition."

For 23 years, the SIIA's CODiE Awards have provided industry recognition for outstanding achievement and vision in the software, education technology and digital content industries. This year's final round of judging will take place at the Codies Finalist Showcase on May 19th in San Francisco, where Arxan will be demonstrating the features and benefits of GuardIT.

"To be recognized among such a diverse and accomplished collection of industry leaders further validates the value of our solution and the innovation of our technology. Being named a finalist is truly an honor," said Mike Dager, CEO of Arxan. "We are committed to providing a new generation of software protection solutions that meet the security and anti-piracy demands of our customers."

GuardIT enables software-driven companies across desktop, embedded and server markets to protect their IP against piracy and tampering and preserve their revenue and brand value with a durable and easy-to-use application hardening solution. GuardIT offers broad support for, Windows, Linux and .NET applications with protection for native and mixed mode images on both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures.

Arxan's technology is deployed via a binary-based solution that is non-intrusive to application performance and supports existing release schedules within an organization's Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Armed with GuardIT, software providers can exercise flexible-yet-granular control over specific and critical areas of the software, including an associated license or copy protection system.
